Course Description:

Welcome to an exciting journey into the digital side of online gaming, designed to help students play smarter, safer, and with total peace of mind. In this course, students will look behind the screen to discover how free-to-play games are funded, how background tools track progress and data, and how marketplace menus are styled to guide users' choices. This course will teach students how to be confident in using their rights under Canadian privacy laws and how to set up strong personal defenses against hackers and third-parties. By analyzing real-world case studies from popular brands, students will quickly learn how to spot tricky layouts and feel empowered to take full control of their personal data while keeping their gaming experience fun, balanced, and secure.
