Canadian middle and high school students can build confidence in their ability to do their own taxes while competing for a piece of the $5,000 prize pot for their school!
This competition is based on the Learn About Your Taxes courses by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and is a great way to encourage school pride while preparing students for the future.

Our ‘seek-and-find’ activity will guide students through some of the CRA's tools and resources as they learn about taxes. To participate, students can log in and complete the Learn About Your Taxes courses during the competition dates!

Participants will log in to ChatterHigh during competition dates to complete the Learn About Your Taxes courses. Questions will link to trustworthy tools and webpages from the CRA. By answering the questions and completing the courses, participants will earn points for their school!

To celebrate their achievement, students will earn a personalized, digital certificate from ChatterHigh upon finishing the Completing a Basic Tax Return course.
The competition took place Sep 3 - Oct 15 with 3,545 participants from 198 schools in 113 school boards across Canada. They researched and answered ~512,000 questions during this time! 17 schools topped our 4 leaderboards, earning grand prize awards! Each semester starts with a competition! Every middle and high school in Canada is invited.
