Gamified travel safety modules are now freely available for students and teachers on the ChatterHigh platform.

Questions for the Travel Smart course are thoughtfully designed for high school students in Grades 10-12.

The solo travel module will walk you through all the steps to planning a successful trip through the lens of Beatrice. The group travel modules will be through the lens of George, Lola (a dual citizen of Canada and Thailand), and Sebastien (who identifies as non-binary).

Module titles include:

  • Solo Trip Part 1: Planning Ahead!
  • Solo Trip Part 2: While Travelling Abroad
  • Solo Trip Part 3: The Return to Canada
  • Group Trip Part 1: Before They Leave
  • Group Trip Part 2: During their travels
  • Group Trip Part 3: Returning to Canada

Questions within this course will familiarize students with the Government of Canada's Travel and Tourism website to help them build awareness of what to expect abroad and locate valuable resources.

How it Works

ChatterHigh is a gamified content engagement platform used by students and teachers across Canada and the USA. Students receive a question that they answer by visiting the linked real-world resource. The activity can be done in class or at home, and it is self-marking so teachers can easily monitor progress.

Our Mindful Modules cover a range of topics for life after high school. These modules help learners develop core competencies by using an active learning format that is proven to increase hope and awareness.
